The year of a child’s Confirmation is a very special journey. We in Walkinstown Parish want to make this journey as special as possible for every child, their parents/guardians and family.
The parish-based programme gives parents/guardians the opportunity to prepare with their child for Confirmation.
Participation in Sunday Mass throughout the year is an important element in the preparation journey and there are preparation sessions before mass on a number of occasions during the year from September to June which helps the family accompany their child as he/she prepares for Confirmation. Parents/Guardians are encouraged to get involved and participate in the Masses by way of doing a reading, Prayers of the Faithful and/or presenting the gifts of bread to the altar etc.
